Following the proposed abolition of the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), the NHS Commissioning Board Authority will take responsibility for the National Reporting and Learning System (NRLS).
A proposal for a temporary transfer of the operational management of the NRLS for two years from 1 April 2012 is being discussed at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust board meeting on 30 November 2011.
